In honor of Testicular Cancer Awareness Month, today's episode features an interview with Dr. Kathleen Hwang, associate professor of the Department of Urology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and director of Male Reproductive Health. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young males between ages 15 and 35, but thankfully it is still relatively rare. Dr. Hwang discusses the prevalence of testicular cancer, risk factors, and the importance of early detection. While there is no standard or routine diagnostic screening test for testicular cancer, Dr. Hwang emphasizes the importance of self-examination and regular check-ups. Join us as we learn more about testicular cancer and how we can help spread awareness.
